Charles Browne
"Mr. Browne fought in Desert Storm.
Captain Browne said that it was not hard for him to go into the service
and serve for the Army because his dad and grandfather and great
grandfather already served in the wars that have passed already.
When he went into the service he was 18 years old, he was also in the
C.A.P which is the Civil Air Patrol. Mr. Browne is a
captain in the C.A.P. now... what I have learned during the interview
is that it is rough to go to war and not have some of your friends come
back and Mr.Browne leaving his wife and son, also his
step-daughter..." ~ C. Michaud
"Mr. Browne enlisted into the service when he was
eighteen. He served in the Gulf War. He entered the war because all of
his family, dating back to the Civil War had served in the military...
I learned a lot of cool stuff from this experience. For instance, what
types of boot camps there were. I liked the best one without
yelling. Mr. Browne was in the force so long that he didn't mind
the yelling. He brought his backpack so we could see what it
looked liked and we got to put on all off his equipment. He showed us a
gas mask and it was the first time that I have ever met a veteran. Now
I know what chemical warfare does to people..." - D. Packard
