High and Low pressure systems move at various rates across
our country. If we can determine exactly how far they can move in an
average day, then the accuracy of our forecasts can be improved.
Your task is to determine how far a high pressure system
and a low pressure system can move in one 24 hour period. You
must consult a number of maps in order to be sure that your estimates are
accurate. When you have completed gathering
the information, print, or construct at least 3 maps which illustrate how
far each type of pressure system can move in a 24 hour period.
Prepare your research for presentation by preparing
a page for our Weather Watcher's Handbook.
