Do Cold Fronts or Warm Fronts affect the windspeed in an area?  As many of our readers are sailors, it's important for them to know about any upcoming changes in the wind.

Examine your records and resources.  When a cold front, or a warm front enters, or leaves, an area, is there any change in the speed of the winds?  Do Fronts make the winds speed up or slow down?  Will the winds be stronger after a front leaves, or as it comes into an area??


Develop a hypothesis in this area and submit your report to The Editor using the appropriate Format Guidelines.  Be sure to attach documentation in the form of maps, or charts, or graphs, which supports your hypothesis.
