Section 3: Goals
A. Teachers will integrate technology into instruction and assessment to facilitate the mastery of Maine Learning Results.
B. Teachers will have access to ongoing professional development to maintain technological proficiency.
C. Teachers, support staff, and students will have access to appropriate technology.
D. Students will use technology in an ethical manner to improve their academic achievement
o Students will use technology to create imaginative and innovative solutions to problems.
o Students will use technological modes of expression to become clear and effective communicators.
o Students will use technology to find, evaluate, and use information.
E. Technical support services will be available to maintain the technology infrastructure.
F. Technology will be used to enhance communication with parents.
G. Technology will be used to promote a safe and secure educational environment.
H. The Technology department will provide new equipment and software to help teachers better integrate technology in the classroom.
