Section 6: Strategies for Improving Academic Achievement and Teacher Effectiveness
MSAD 49 dedicates significant human resources to improve academic achievement and teacher effectiveness through technology.
Specifically the district funds 5 technology positions which include a Technology Coordinator, Assistant Technology Coordinator, 2 District technicians, computer lab monitor.Title V funds will support one of these positions to help teachers integrate technology in the classroom. In addition there are 2 elementary staff positions provide students K – 6 with technology education. One of these positions is supported by Title IID Funds. There is also one technology teacher position in the Jr High School and there are 3 technology/business teacher positions in the High School. In keeping with the district philosophy all teachers are expected to integrate technology in their instruction.
