Kimberly Hatch

Hello all! I am beyond thrilled to be a part of the MSAD #49 family. I have always wanted to be a teacher, but life threw me many obstacles, as it does to many, so it took me a bit longer than I would have liked to make my dream become a reality. I am blessed to be teaching 3rd grade in Albion with the same class I student taught with when they were in kindergarten. It is in that school, when I was a child, where my love for literacy was nurtured and blossomed because of my wonderful teacher Rick Jones. It is my hope to be the kind of teacher to my students that Rick was for me.
My past consists of teaching private art classes, being a waitress, behavior tech, and most recent a cosmetologist. I live in Albion with my handsome husband Tron and my beautiful 6 year old son Kaleb. ( Who claims that one day he will be a famous paleontologist and I believe him.) We have an American Bulldog named Pebbles and a cat named Kat.
Go big or go home is my motto. That being said, even though first year teaching is like putting together a 1,000 piece puzzle without the picture on the box to go by (super stressful), I happily welcome this class with an open mind. I believe that this challenging year will strengthen my teaching abilities, so that next year I can begin with a clearer mind and better direction. Happy learning everyone!
